Some users were reporting that login via Facebook Connect and cataloging Facebook photos were not working. The error started happening at Wedensday 7th July around 1:00am PDT.
The problem was caused by Facebook: the Facebook API server started behaving a little different and that caused problem with Showzey not to be able to connect to Facebook.
The problem is fixed as of Wednesday 7th July 13:00pm PDT.
We apologize to everyone who encountered difficulties using Showzey.

An average Showzey user can see thousands of photos - many of these photos are shared via Facebook or Gmail. How to browse through all these photos?
Try Showzey surprise button!

When you select it, Showzey will show 20 random photos.
You might discover memorable photos you forgot about. Or you might have fun discovering funny (and sometimes embarrassing) photos your friends posted on Facebook or sent to you via email.
Try it! We guarantee you will have fun. It is like photo roulette.

We have enabled Showzey Facebook integration.
Since majority of Showzey/Facebook interaction is moved to client side, Showzey now requires that user is connected via Facebook Connect in order to see Facebook photos. So you will see something like this:

We are late with new version of Showzey/Facebook integration.
The plan now is to deploy a new version next Sunday - 7th of March.

For certain accounts (mainly non-US Flickr Yahoo! accounts), the photos uploaded to Flickr or Picasa might not be detected by Showzey as email attachment. The photos are *uploaded* to Flickr or Picasa.
Basically, you might not see them in the email when you open email in Showzey:

We have fixed the problem and deployed the fix.
So photos transferred from Gmail to Picasa/Flickr should be linked to emails - even for yahoo.it domain.

Interesting post from Mikolaj Jan Piskorski from Harvard Business School. The following excerpt is very similar to our elevator pitch :):
The biggest discovery: pictures. “People just love to look at pictures,” says Piskorski. “That’s the killer app of all online social networks. Seventy percent of all actions are related to viewing pictures or viewing other people’s profiles.”
True. However, majority posts on Facebook are about FarmVille, PetVille, MafiaWars, spam messages, etc. And on Facebook you can see only photos which are stored on Facebook. What about photos sent via email? What about photos shared via Flickr?
So this is pretty much why we built Showzey.

Just a short update about our Facebook integration for new users.
We plan to deploy a new Facebook integration module on 28th of Feb 2009 ups.. 2010. Until then, the Showzey/Facebook integration is available only by invites.
Showzey Team.
To delete account in Showzey just select “Delete Account” in account pull down menu:

After you do this, your account on Showzey will deleted immediatelly. This also means that your photos stored on our storage will be gone. However, photos you sent to your friend will be still available.
To be 100% sure that Showzey will not access your photos, you need also to revoke permissions granted to Showzey in Google, Yahoo! and Facebook.
For Google, the following is needed:
* Sign In into Google Account
* Goto to Change authorized websites (https://www.google.com/accounts/Issue…)
* Select on Revoke Access next to Showzey.com
For Facecook, the following is needed:
* Sign In into Facebook Account
* Goto to Settings -> Application Settings
* Select X button next to Showzey.com
For Yahoo and Flickr:
* Sign In into Yahoo Flickr
* Goto You -> Your Apps
* Select Apps You’re Using
* Select “Remove Permission?” next to Showzey

Thanks a lot!
Some users are getting “Unknown Mailbox: [Gmail]/All Mail (Failure)” while cataloging their Gmail photos. The error happens because Showzey Gmail integrations supports only the following languages:
Here is the workaround if you use language not supported by Showzey Gmail integration:
1. Enable IMAP Gmail —> Settings —> POP/IMAP —> enable IMAP
2. Change language to English: Gmail —> Settings —> Language —> English

3. Show AllMail folder: Gmail —> Settings —> Labels —> AllMail —> Show
