New Feature: Weekly Emails with New Photos
Just a short update.
We have deployed a new feature: automated refresh and weekly emails with new photos.
As of now, the feature is disabled by default. To enable it, select “Manage Account” from “Profile Menu”, select “Send me weekly emails about new photos”, and enter email address to which you want receive updates:

We have implemented and deployed a new Gmail Integration module which enables you to catalog all your photos from your Gmail mailboxes without providing your Gmail password to Showzey.
With this new feature, Showzey never sees or stores your Gmail password.

Update: Showzey & Facebook working
Thursday, 8th July 2010 12:00pm PDT
Some users were reporting that login via Facebook Connect and cataloging Facebook photos were not working. The error started happening at Wedensday 7th July around 1:00am PDT.
The problem was caused by Facebook: the Facebook API server started behaving a little different and that caused problem with Showzey not to be able to connect to Facebook.

How to download all photo attachments to your computer in one shot?
You can do that by creating Showzey RSS feed then use DownloadThemAll! Firefox plugin to download photos.
Here is the list of steps:
Install firefox plug from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201.This will require you to restart Firefox.
Go to http://www.showzey.com and login

Showzey Facebook integration is enabled again
We have enabled Showzey Facebook integration.
Since majority of Showzey/Facebook interaction is moved to client side, Showzey now requires that user is connected via Facebook Connect in order to see Facebook photos. So you will see something like this:

Bug fixed: Tracking Gmail attachments copied to...
For certain accounts (mainly non-US Flickr Yahoo! accounts), the photos uploaded to Flickr or Picasa might not be detected by Showzey as email attachment. The photos are *uploaded* to Flickr or Picasa.
Basically, you might not see them in the email when you open email in Showzey:

Update of Facebook integration
Just a short update about our Facebook integration for new users.
We plan to deploy a new Facebook integration module on 28th of Feb 2009 ups.. 2010. Until then, the Showzey/Facebook integration is available only by invites.

How to delete Showzey account?
To delete account in Showzey just select “Delete Account” in account pull down menu:
After you do this, your account on Showzey will deleted immediatelly. This also means that your photos stored on our storage will be gone. However, photos you sent to your friend will be still available.
To be 100% sure that Showzey will not access your photos, you need also to revoke...

Workaround for "Unknown Mailbox: [Gmail]/All Mail...
Some users are getting “Unknown Mailbox: [Gmail]/All Mail (Failure)” while cataloging their Gmail photos. The error happens because Showzey Gmail integrations supports only the following languages:
English
Deutch
Italiano
Spanish
French
Portugal
Slovenščina
Hrvatski
Here is the workaround if you use language not supported by Showzey Gmail integration:

Facebook integration temporarily disabled for new...
Unfortunately, due to unexpectedly high traffic we have temporarily disabled Facebook integration for new users (only new users - the existing Showzey users should be able to manage their Facebook photos without problems). We apologize for the inconvenience.
We are already working on improvement which will make our product super-scalable (read: hundred thousand of photos per user).

Fixed intermittent problem with Flickr catalog
We had an intermittent bug that some user were unable to catalog all their Flickr photos (big thanks to Daniel for reporting the problem)

The updated Showzey is here: A little better...
We have updated Showzey.com. The site should be a little faster, share emails will not be catches by spam filter, we added Single Click “Delete Account”, and other minor fixes.

Intermitent slownest of the site: update
Actually, the problem we are facing is the following:
(memory leak)
Some processes end up eating ~2G of memory each - which causes slowdown of everything:
We are working on a fix. Hopefully everything will be fixed by end of day today (30th Jan 2010). tomorrow (31st Jan 2010).

Slownest of the site and excruciating long catalog...
We have a bug in our catalog photos code which causes that cataloging takes really long time and eventually slows down the entire web site. This happens when a user tries to catalog more that 30K of facebook photos.
The problem is caused by our bug which we tried to dress as a feature - but it is a bug.
We plan to deploy a fix by 30th Jan 2010.

RSS feed problem fixed
We had a bug that some user generated RSS feeds were pointing to our test photos.
